AWESOME! ;D

When Life gives you fishball, you make steamboat.

Life is boring like a fishball lately, round and round and round again with all the same old daily routine, and our King just underwent knee surgery overseas recently so he delayed the motion to bail us out of jail and commission us as officers, which means more balls.

With so many fishballs overfilling over plates, it’s only logical that we dump it all into a cooking pot and make steamboat out of it. So last sunday i organized this steamboat feast for my 12 housemates. I got my juniors to help me with buying the raw material to feed 12 hungry mouths, so from Giant sg wang we got everything that we needed to make this a good feast, from all kind of balls to dory fish fillet to prawns to herbal soup stock to all kinds of vegies etc etc etc, we even booze up with a bottle of red wine and a smaller bottle of whisky lol.

There there out of focus pics taken with a good camera (Sony DSLR-A330) but a noob owner photographer showing us in ‘action’:

Forgive me dear Lord for i have sinned……..it was still 3 quarter full damn sayang!

The Christening of a Boxer.

My moment on the ring had finally came: 3 rounds, 2 minutes long each and 1 minute of time-out in between rounds….jab. 1-2. hook, uppercut, hook, punch! My opponent was a guy named Najib, nicknamed po-po, i had an obvious height advantage over him, but i didn’t want to take it lightly because in earlier matches I’ve seen tall guys getting beaten up by opponents shorter than them.

We exchanged lots of punches on Round 1, i was aiming for his head trying to knock him of balance while most of his punches landed on my stomach, where layers of fat around it absorbed most of the impact haha. My opponent started to show signs of fatigue on Round 2 and i started to feel like i was controlling the match, so i went in more often with simple jabs to try to score more points, at the same time deflecting my opponents’ punches to deny him points. On Round 3 my opponent was struggling just to stand steady, i could have deliver some quick knock-out punches to end the game, but being symphatetic i just let the game stretch till the sounding of the final bell. And i won by virtue of most points collected.

It’s really true when you hear people say that 2 mins on the ring is like 20 mins outside of it, and the experience is definitely not pleasant to bear if you are the one getting beaten up. Height can be a huge advantage but it all boils down to personal stamina and fitness. I had not train much for my match therefore i’m lucky to get an opponent who’s shorter and less fit than me. But being on the ring and staying on it takes as much mental strength as physical fitness, it’s not for the faint-hearted.

Graduat-ED

My convocation was held at UTM Skudai, Johor last saturday. Finally after 5 years of blood, sweat and tears i have graduated with a second class upper bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. I wish to thank my family and friends for all their support and encouragement given to me throughout this period, thank you terima kasih 谢谢 aligato! Although for most people a convocation is the climax of their uni life, it’s the second most important event for me, because the momentus event of my student life is on 9 January 2010, the Officer commissioning parade set to be graced by the King. That is happening later though, this is now!

Little cute poser sis.

Dad was so happy that he gave me a wad of cash after the convocation ceremony and said:”son, take this and go buy an iphone that you have always wanted and that’ll be ur belated birthday present and graduation gift.” Woohoo! Got no teddies or flowers but i got an iphone haha! ;D Thanks dad, i’ll pass u my htc google G1 when i get my iphone heehee!

After the convo my family and i went on a short trip accross the causeway to SIngapore! I got to drive on singapore roads for the first time hehe, man the people there really follow the speed limit to the dot, 90 means 90 lol and everyone moves at the same speed. –.- The greatest pleasure i on that trip was flooring the car accelerator after i left singapore and enter malaysia via the second link at the end of the trip haha! The trip was good though, had alot of good hawker food, besides coffee at tcc and subway sandwiches, and i got an awesome nike pair of sneakers at 50% off for $49.50 only. It’s a steal! Wanted to get perfumes but gonna hold it off first till i finish my current CK One and Boss.

Yeah yeah it was fun! :D

Break Free

I shall stop missing you now, since i'm only such an insignificant fellow in ur life, i shall unload my feelings for you at the dumpsite and break free.

Moving on, i have just completed my six-months military training for final year officer cadets after the completion of the final exercise called Escape and Evasion this morning. Hurrah, sighs of relief haha! Lots of bittersweet memories from it. :D

What left for me now is the convocation which is next weekend and the preparations for the passing out parade which will happen on January 10. In the mean time, i have weekend leave this week and next, gonna use it to the fullest to party real hard. XD

My birthday celebration this year was quite interesting though, the actual day of my bday i was training at some ulu place in Pahang, so my mates managed to negotiate four raw chickens for rm60 from the Indon estate workers and we marinated it and barbequed it whole over woodfire, it was really awesome! And when i got back to camp, i subsidized a feast of 5 barrels of kfc fried chicken to treat them back. And hopefully this weekend i'll be able to drink and chill with my tani gang lol.

That's the short update i got for now, will write more when i got the free time, i'm already a few episodes behind on a couple of tv series that i follow lol.

Oinkoink!

Some things i shouldn't have harp on. You have not spoken to me for 4 days and counting...
